We get relief from scorching sun, we get a chance to play in snow; we get chance to wear jackets and other heavy clothes; their are some good winter sport as well like skiing, mountaineering, etc. Apart from enjoying the winter we should also keep remember some important things in winter.

Following these simple tips(mentioned below) in winter is a best idea:
  • Keep your feet, head, hands and neck warm. Always keep wearing footwear like shoes so that your feet remain warm, because most of the time we catch cold through bare feet and head, so it is quite necessary to keep our feet, neck and head covered in winter.
  • Wear enough warm clothes, don't let the fashion influence you. Fashion is fashion but health is health, so do not compromise with your health just for show off and fashion.
  • Try to minimize your outside venture, stay inside as much as possible. And do not be lazy in washing your hands before eating anything, as this little carelessness & mistake may prove very costly(especially to kids).

  • Take care of old persons,children and infants specially, because these two age groups are very delicate and harsh winter may prove dangerous for them.   • Keep caution while using room heater, as keeping room on heater for long time can remove humidity from the room which may be dangerous for your health. Room air should also contain a required amount of moisture. So it is necessary to switch off the room heater after some time. Keeping room heater on for a long time is also harmful for your skin, if you have dry skin it will further dehumidify your skin and will worsen your skin problems. Using a room humidifies is also a best option if you feel the air inside your room is dry.

  • Taking shower from lukewarm water is best for your skin as well as your health. Although people feel great with hot water shower but lukewarm water is best.
  • In winter it is more likely that our lips develop cracks which are painful most of the times, thus we should use a good quality lip balm which should also contain some antiseptic properties to keep our lips moist, soft and infection free.

  • I have seen many people do not like to use skin moisturizer cream in winter but it is very useful to apply skin moisturizer cream to keep our skin charming, glowing, moisturized, shiny, cracks free and healthy.
  • Do not forget to drink enough amount of water during the winter season. I know drinking the water is very difficult in winter, but you can try lukewarm water, lemon water, fruit juice, soups, milk, shakes, bear, soft drinks or any other beverages instead of normal water.
